Job pedagogical staff member

Unikids 2.0 Daycare is looking for a pedagogical all-rounder. Someone who besides the daily work as pedagogical member at the childcare group, helps within the team of Unikids 2.0 Daycare to build up the nursery. In 2013 the international nursery in Tilburg, Unikids Daycare, is taken over by former employee Elles Luijten.

With a close team of staff, parents and the Tilburg University is said that a nursery in tilburg can and should be “different”. We are now more than a year later and the team consists of six people, four parents in the PTA and there is a close collaboration with the Tilburg University. “With other” words, in one year there are many new children added, parents experienced the difference and we are looking to strengthen the team.

Our team consists of pedagogical members, cleaners, planners, managers, handyman services, administration, commercial employees. “Otherwise,” said these we don’t have does units. Each team member contributes to Unikids 2.0 Daycare and does what she can do. One thing is always top of the list and that are the children and the parents. In our view, we are not “different” but we think what we do is very normal and you would expect this from any nursery.

But the experiences of parents and staff who are coming from other childcare organizations, indicates that we are “different”.

We are therefore looking for a team member who, like us, think it is quite normal that:

• Children and parents are always no. 1;
• You treat someone like you want to be treated yourself;
• You know all the children and parents by name and know what is happening;
• You prepare the day with fun tinker and games;
• With a flexible small team, we don’t need a flex pool of employees;
• Child can be themselves;
• Rest Cleanliness and Regularity is important;
• You can directly answer when parents ask anything like: How does my child do today, can I exchange a day next week, what do you think more nutrition, can you give my child a warm meal tonight?
• The nursery will not self-clean;
• A party with the kids is great fun, but on the weekends or evenings with parents there so much more enjoyable;
• Fruit and vegetables in the garden does not grow by itself;
• Everyone is welcome;
• The daycare is expensive, so parents and children may expect a lot;
• Parents do not find us by itself, so we need to look for them;
• Flexible childcare has to be really flexible and you do not solve flexible childcare with all kinds of contracts as 40 weeks and flex hours. But during a tour you discuss the possiblities with the parents and looking together for a real solution

This is a small example of what we find normall , in addition, we expect from you:

• a completed education for the work as a pedagogical staff member;
• are very flexible attitude;
• no 9 to 5 mentality;
• A 100% commitment to Unikids;
• Dutch and English writing and speaking. A third language is an advantage;
• You are Living in the Tilburg area;
• Are known and active in for example associations in Tilburg, is an advantage;

You will be working in a small international nursery with a close team where you can be more than just a pedagogical member. You yourself are largely determines how your future will look like. We offer you O-hours contract, we strive for fixed days and faces on the group.Besides the work we have fun activities with the children and parents, of course, we also regularly go cozy entertainment with the team.
