About our nursery

Unikids 2.0 Daycare has a small-scale nursery where we offer care for children between 0 and 4 years old. We communicate and inform in two languages, Dutch-English. We have a cosy and spacious nursery located on the Abdij van Bernestraat Within walking distance and in cooperation with the Tilburg University.

Our nursery has a cosy homely atmosphere, is very light and has plenty of space for the children to play. The nursery is spacious, but we only have four groups. In addition to the groups, we have a hall and garden to play or to do joint activities. We have vertical groups, which means that the children from 0 to 4 years old, are on the same group together. The children learn a lot from each other. One year olds take an example from toddlers and toddlers teach to take into account younger children.

Every child at our nursery receives the attention and the care he or she needs. A baby just has his or her own rhythm. A one year old or toddler can go to bed when he or she needs. Because the groups are vertical, the pedagogical staff, parents and of course the children, can build up a good relation and trust. The children and parents basically stay with the same pedagogical staff and in the same group for their entire stay at the nursery. br />

Home sweet home at the nursery. A homely atmosphere at the Unikids 2.0 Daycare for young and old, everyone can be themselves. In addition to the daily care, we arrange a lot of activities for the parents and the children. Everyone is free to participate!

We attach great importance to open and honest communication and information to you as a parent and the children. We offer everything in two languages, Dutch-English. Communication within the group, between pedagogical staff and the children, takes place in Dutch and we are using the hands, feet and examples. English is only spoken when it is the child’s mother tongue or spoken in the home situation. Language development is very rapid among children between zero and four years old. But the language development can also be negatively affected when it is not clear to the child where what kind of language is spoken.

The Tilburg University attaches great importance to its (international) employees and students to combine work and family in a pleasant way. Tilburg University has contributed to the initiative for establishing Unikids 2.0 Daycare . For the care of the child was found that the childcare is sometimes problematic for employees international staff because they do not have a social safety net, childcare locations have waiting lists or no fixed faces (employees) and cannot be flexible towards new and existing parents.

Big, small, fat, thin, and where ever you are coming from, every child is welcome. Also children from outside the university are welcome at Unikids 2.0 Daycare.p>

The safety of children and staff is paramount. Periodically a check is carried out by the health department of the government to make sure we meet the requirements laid down in the framework of the law. We are rated as very good! And therefore we like to invite you to read the positive reactions in the drawn out reports. We go beyond the law, for example, our location is equipped with a camera and lock on the door and we have a strict policy for visitors. Everyone is welcome as long as we know who you are.

Our nursery is located on the Abdij van Bernestraat 199 in Tilburg at the edge of the compact and park-like campus of the Tilburg University. Education, research and almost all facilities are concentrated at the campus, including our nursery “Unikids 2.0 Daycare” our after school care and toddler care “Unikids 2.0 Daycare″. The nursery is fully accessible with any vehicle, the train station Tilburg University is on walking distance. Also neighborhoods like Blaak, Reeshof and the center are optimally accessible and the surrounding villages as Moergestel, Udenhout and Berkel-Enschot.
